Paso 1
El día lluvioso
Una mañana, el cielo estaba gris.
El niño dijo: “Hoy lloverá.”
La niña dijo: “Espero que no llueva demasiado.”
Salieron con un paraguas grande.
El niño dijo: “Me gusta la lluvia.”
La niña dijo: “A mí también me gusta, pero no quiero mojarme.”
La lluvia comenzó a caer.
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter.
La niña saltó en un charco pequeño.
El niño se rió y dijo: “¡Mira el agua!”
Corrieron y corrieron.
Apareció un perro.
Sacudió su pelaje y corrió bajo la lluvia.
La niña dijo: “¡El perro también se está divirtiendo!”
El niño dijo: “Sí, parece feliz.”
Vieron un arcoíris en el cielo.
La niña dijo: “¡Es tan bonito!”
El niño dijo: “Nunca había visto un arcoíris tan grande.”
Caminaron hasta el final del arcoíris, pero se fue lejos, muy lejos.
Por fin, la lluvia paró.
El niño dijo: “Ahora podemos ir a casa.”
La niña dijo: “Sí, y podemos tomar té caliente.”
Entraron, mojados pero felices.
Le contaron a su madre sobre la lluvia, el perro y el arcoíris.
Ella sonrió y dijo: “Tuvieron un buen día.”
Paso 2
The Rainy Day
One morning, the sky was gray.
El niño dijo: “Hoy lloverá.”
The girl said, “I hope it does not rain too much.”
Salieron con un paraguas grande.
The boy said, “I like the rain.”
La niña dijo: “A mí también me gusta, pero no quiero mojarme.”
The rain began to fall. Pitter-patter, pitter-patter.
The girl jumped in a small puddle.
El niño se rió y dijo: “¡Mira el agua!”
They ran and ran.
Un perro apareció.
It shook its fur and ran through the rain.
La niña dijo: “¡El perro también se está divirtiendo!”
The boy said, “Yes, it looks happy.”
Vieron un arcoíris en el cielo.
The girl said, “It is so pretty!”
El niño dijo: “Nunca había visto un arcoíris tan grande.”
They walked to the end of the rainbow, but it went far, far away.
Por fin, la lluvia paró.
The boy said, “Now we can go home.”
La niña dijo: “Sí, y podemos tomar té caliente.”
They went inside, wet but happy.
Le contaron a su madre sobre la lluvia, el perro y el arcoíris.
She smiled and said, “You had a good day.”
Paso 3
The Rainy Day
One morning, the sky was gray.
The boy said, “It will rain today.”
The girl said, “I hope it does not rain too much.”
They went outside with a big umbrella.
The boy said, “I like the rain.”
The girl said, “I like it too, but I do not like to get wet.”
The rain began to fall.
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter.
The girl jumped in a small puddle.
The boy laughed and said, “Look at the water!”
They ran and ran.
A dog came.
It shook its fur and ran through the rain.
The girl said, “The dog is having fun too!”
The boy said, “Yes, it looks happy.”
They saw a rainbow in the sky.
The girl said, “It is so pretty!”
The boy said, “I have never seen a rainbow so big.”
They walked to the end of the rainbow, but it went far, far away.
At last, the rain stopped.
The boy said, “Now we can go home.”
The girl said, “Yes, and we can drink warm tea.”
They went inside, wet but happy.
They told their mother about the rain, the dog, and the rainbow.
She smiled and said, “You had a good day.”
