Paso 1
La cometa perdida
Un día ventoso, un niño y una niña salieron a volar una cometa.
El niño dijo: “Creo que el viento es fuerte.”
La niña dijo: “Sí, pero es bueno para la cometa.”
El niño sostuvo la cuerda.
La niña corrió y corrió.
La cometa subió alto al cielo.
El niño dijo: “¡Mira! ¡Está muy alto!”
La niña dijo: “¡Es hermosa!”
De repente, el viento llevó la cometa lejos.
El niño dijo: “¡Oh no! ¡La cometa se va!”
La niña dijo: “Debemos seguirla.”
Corrieron tras la cometa por el campo.
Vieron un árbol.
La cometa se quedó atrapada.
El niño dijo: “Necesitamos recuperarla.”
La niña dijo: “¡Cuidado! Todavía está alto.”
Trabajaron juntos.
Por fin, el niño recuperó la cometa del árbol.
La niña dijo: “No la dejaremos ir otra vez.”
El niño dijo: “Sí, la sostendremos fuerte.”
Corrieron de nuevo al campo abierto y dejaron que la cometa volara otra vez.
Se rieron y rieron.
La niña dijo: “Esto es divertido, y aprendimos algo nuevo.”
El niño dijo: “Sí, es un buen día.”
Fueron a casa felices y cansados.
Paso 2
The Lost Kite
One windy day, a boy and a girl went outside to fly a kite.
El niño dijo: “Creo que el viento es fuerte.”
The girl said, “Yes, but it is good for the kite.”
El niño sostuvo la cuerda.
The girl ran and ran.
La cometa subió alto al cielo.
The boy said, “Look! It is so high!”
La niña dijo: “¡Es hermosa!”
Suddenly, the wind blew the kite far.
El niño dijo: “¡Oh no! ¡La cometa se va!”
The girl said, “We must follow it.”
Corrieron tras la cometa por el campo.
They saw a tree.
La cometa se quedó atrapada.
The boy said, “We need to get it.”
La niña dijo: “¡Cuidado! Todavía está alto.”
They worked together.
Por fin, el niño recuperó la cometa del árbol.
The girl said, “We will not let it go again.”
El niño dijo: “Sí, la sostendremos fuerte.”
They ran back to the open field and let the kite fly again.
Se rieron y rieron.
The girl said, “This is fun, and we learned something new.”
El niño dijo: “Sí, es un buen día.”
They went home happy and tired.
Paso 3
The Lost Kite

The boy said, “I think the wind is strong.”
The girl said, “Yes, but it is good for the kite.”
The boy held the string.
The girl ran and ran.
The kite went high in the sky.
The boy said, “Look! It is so high!”
The girl said, “It is beautiful!”
Suddenly, the wind blew the kite far.
The boy said, “Oh no! The kite is going away!”
The girl said, “We must follow it.”
They ran after the kite across the field.
They saw a tree.
The kite was stuck.
The boy said, “We need to get it.”
The girl said, “Be careful! It is still high.”
They worked together.
At last, the boy got the kite from the tree.
The girl said, “We will not let it go again.”
The boy said, “Yes, we will hold it tight.”
They ran back to the open field and let the kite fly again.
They laughed and laughed.
The girl said, “This is fun, and we learned something new.”
The boy said, “Yes, it is a good day.”
They went home happy and tired.
