Paso 1
El gran patio de juegos
Un día, un niño y una niña fueron al patio de juegos.
El niño dijo: “Yo iré al columpio primero.”
La niña dijo: “Yo iré al tobogán.”
El niño se columpió muy alto.
Él dijo: “¡Puedo tocar el cielo!”
La niña se deslizó rápido y dijo: “¡Esto es muy divertido!”
Corrieron hacia el subibaja.
El niño dijo: “Vamos a subir y bajar.”
La niña dijo: “¡Estoy lista!”
Se rieron mientras subían y bajaban.
Entonces vieron a otros niños.
Un niño dijo: “¿Quieren jugar a las atrapadas?”
La niña dijo: “¡Sí, juguemos!”
El niño dijo: “¡Te atraparé!”
Corrieron por todo el patio de juegos.
Los niños rieron y corrieron.
Después de un rato, estaban cansados.
La niña dijo: “Sentémonos bajo el árbol.”
El niño dijo: “Sí, y podemos tomar un poco de agua.”
Descansaron y observaron los pájaros.
Un perrito llegó al patio de juegos.
El niño dijo: “¡El perro también quiere jugar!” Lanzaron una pelota pequeña.
El perro corrió rápido y la devolvió.
Por fin, el sol se puso.
El niño y la niña se despidieron del patio de juegos.
Caminaron a casa, sonriendo y felices por el día divertido.
Paso 2
The Big Playground
One day, a boy and a girl went to the playground.
El niño dijo: “Yo iré al columpio primero.”
The girl said, “I will go on the slide.”
El niño se columpió muy alto.
He said, “I can touch the sky!”
La niña se deslizó rápido y dijo: “¡Esto es muy divertido!”
They ran to the seesaw.
El niño dijo: “Vamos a subir y bajar.”
The girl said, “I am ready!”
Se rieron mientras subían y bajaban.
Then they saw other children.
Un niño dijo: “¿Quieren jugar a las atrapadas?”
The girl said, “Yes, let’s play!”
El niño dijo: “¡Te atraparé!”
They ran across the playground.
Los niños rieron y corrieron.
After a while, they were tired.
La niña dijo: “Sentémonos bajo el árbol.”
The boy said, “Yes, and we can drink some water.”
Descansaron y observaron los pájaros.
A little dog came to the playground.
El niño dijo: “¡El perro también quiere jugar!”
They threw a small ball.
El perro corrió rápido y la devolvió.
At last, the sun went down.
El niño y la niña se despidieron del patio de juegos.
They walked home, smiling and happy from the fun day.
Paso 3
The Big Playground
One day, a boy and a girl went to the playground.
The boy said, “I will go on the swing first.”
The girl said, “I will go on the slide.”
The boy swung high.
He said, “I can touch the sky!”
The girl slid down fast and said, “This is so fun!”
They ran to the seesaw.
The boy said, “Let’s go up and down.”
The girl said, “I am ready!”
They laughed as they moved up and down.
Then they saw other children.
One boy said, “Do you want to play tag?”
The girl said, “Yes, let’s play!”
The boy said, “I will catch you!”
They ran across the playground.
The children laughed and ran.
After a while, they were tired.
The girl said, “Let us sit under the tree.”
The boy said, “Yes, and we can drink some water.”
They rested and watched the birds.
A little dog came to the playground.
The boy said, “The dog wants to play too!”
They threw a small ball.
The dog ran fast and brought it back.
At last, the sun went down.
The boy and girl waved goodbye to the playground.
They walked home, smiling and happy from the fun day.
