Día 1

Frustrado, entra en un Oxxo a comprar algo de comer. Aprovecha para ver si venden fotos o cosas con la imagen de la Virgen María. Encuentra una veladora con su imagen y, aunque se siente un poco angustiado, decide comprarla con la esperanza de que le ayude.

Sale de la tienda y se sienta en una banca. Enciende la vela y empieza a rezarle en voz baja: "Ánimas benditas, que me ayuden a entender esto". Cuando termina, nota que hay un cempasúchil naranja en el asiento, que antes no estaba allí.

Mientras está allí, maravillado, una mujer llamada Clara se le acerca. "¿Qué tranza, güey? Todo tranqui, mi ñero?" le pregunta, con una voz suave y amigable. Ella juega con un cubo de Rubik.

Clara nota la confusión en la cara de Antonio y le dice: "No te preocupes, yo te ayudo". Con mucha paciencia, le enseña toda la jerga local, explicándole el significado de palabras como güey, chido y neta.

Cuando Clara finalmente resuelve el cubo, Antonio escucha unas campanadas que parecen correr por el aire a su alrededor. En ese momento, sabe que todo se ha resuelto.

Antonio y Clara se enamoran y regresan a España, donde su vida se llena de amor, cariño y mucho apapacho. De vez en cuando, Clara le echa carrilla cuando no hace suficientes quehaceres de casa. Pero más allá de esas bromas, su amor sigue creciendo. Todo eso es posible gracias a la jerga mexicana y a la Virgen María.

Día 2

Antonio dreams of visiting Mexico City. When he gets the chance to go to Tepito for work, he doesn’t hesitate. He walks through the lively streets, with the smell of sopes floating in the air, and feels as if he were in another world. 

But soon he notices that something is wrong. He can’t understand a single word of Mexican Spanish. He listens to a guy talking to another, and he says: "What's up, man, give me a hand with that doohickey, but stay on your toes. ." Antonio is left confused.

Frustrated, he enters an Oxxo to buy something to eat. He takes the chance to see if they sell photos or things with the Virgen María on them. He finds a candle with her image and, although he feels a little anxious, decides to buy it hoping it will help him.

He leaves the store and sits on a bench. He lights the candle and starts quietly praying, "Holy Souls, help me make sense of this." When he finishes, he notices an orange marigold on the seat, which wasn’t there before.

While he is there, amazed, a woman named Clara approaches him. "What's up, dude? All good, my bro?" she asks in a soft, friendly voice. She plays with a Rubik's cube. Clara notices the confusion on Antonio’s face and says, "Don’t worry, I’ll help you."

With a lot of patience, she teaches him all the local slang, explaining the meaning of words like dude, col, and for real. When Clara  finally solves the cube, Antonio feels chimes running through the air around him. At that moment, he knows everything has been solved. 

Antonio and Clara fall in love and return to Spain, where their life is filled with love, affection, and a lot of cuddles. But beyond those jokes, their love keeps growing. From time to time, Clara teases him when he doesn’t do enough chores around the house. All of this is possible thanks to Mexican slang and the Virgin Mary.
