 Una noche, mientras trabaja y desesperado por un cambio, Oso empieza a rezarle a una imagen de la Virgen María que tiene en su cubículo. Cuando termina su oración, una zinnia verde aparece en el teclado de su computadora. Esa zinnia verde le da una esperanza que nunca antes ha sentido en su vida.

En la madrugada del día siguiente, Oso va a ir a la empresa como siempre, pero cuando abre la puerta se da cuenta de que algo es diferente. Todo el mundo está en caos. ¡Un apocalipsis zombie se desata en la ciudad! Las calles están llenas de muertos vivientes.

Oso no siente miedo; de hecho, siente una sensación de libertad. ¡Este es el milagro que esperaba! Por primera vez en cuatro años no tiene que trabajar en esa pinche empresa explotadora. Mientras “compra” unas chelas, encuentra a otros supervivientes que también están “comprando” cosas en el supermercado. El grupo de supervivientes decide hacer una fiesta en la seguridad de la azotea de un edificio.

Cuando empiezan a bailar en la azotea, unas campanas suenan tan fuerte que hacen temblar la tierra. El sonido es ensordecedor, como si el mundo mismo se estuviera partiendo. El edificio se sacude violentamente y, en medio de ese terremoto, su amigo Pinecone pierde el equilibrio, cae del edificio y es inmediatamente devorado por los zombies.

La muerte de su amigo es trágica, pero Oso aún siente mucha paz. Sabe que todo se ha resuelto y que ahora puede vivir la vida al máximo, incluso en el caos de este nuevo mundo, donde tiene que evitar zombies de vez en cuando. Todo eso es posible gracias a la Virgen María y a un apocalipsis zombie.

One night, while working and desperate for a change, Oso starts praying to an image of the Virgin Mary he has in his cubicle. When he finishes his prayer, a green zinnia appears on his computer keyboard. That green zinnia gives him a hope he has never felt before in his life.

The next morning, Oso goes to the company as usual, but when he opens the door, he realizes something is different. Everyone is in chaos. A zombie apocalypse has broken out in the city! The streets are full of the undead.

Oso doesn’t feel fear; in fact, he feels a sense of freedom. This is the miracle he was waiting for! For the first time in four years, he doesn’t have to work in that damn exploitative company. While buying some beers, he meets other survivors who are also “shopping” for things at the supermarket. The group of survivors decides to have a party on the safety of a building’s rooftop.

When they start dancing on the rooftop, some bells ring so loudly that they make the ground tremble. The sound is deafening, as if the world itself is splitting apart. The building shakes violently, and in the middle of that earthquake, his friend Pinecone loses his balance, falls off the building, and is immediately devoured by the zombies.

The death of his friend is tragic, but Oso still feels a lot of peace. He knows that everything has been resolved and that now he can live life to the fullest, even in the chaos of this new world, where he has to avoid zombies from time to time. All of this is possible thanks to the Virgin Mary and a zombie apocalypse.
